Question: What is the problem with the Access SQL Server linked table?
I have an Access 97 front-end database that uses linked table to get to SQL Server 7.0/2000 tables. When opening one of these linked tables in the datasheet view, I get several ""#Error"" fields along with the message "
The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data".
The field in question is set up as an NVARCHAR(255) on the SQL table and the link table as a Text(255). The table can be viewed in the SQL Enterprise manage just fine. The same table as an Access table can also be viewed just fine. What is the problem with the Access SQL Server linked table? Reduce this field size in Access before upsizing by one character if the frontend is Access 97.
